Scheduled Virtual Instructor-Led Training

6 Ways to Be A Great Conservator

Description
What is a conservator? And what makes for a successful, ethical, and productive conservatorship? In this training, participants will learn 6 actions great conservators take to meet the individual needs of their clients or loved ones. Two very different conservatorship stories show the practical application of the 6 actions, and the challenging decisions conservators must make. Downloadable job aids include a tool for preparing to become someone's conservator, a form that helps conservators take a person-centered approach to conservatorship, a contact record for building relationships, and a handout with the National Guardianship Association's ethical standards for guardians and conservators. This virtual instructor-led training has 3 hours of interactive discussion and insights.
