Earn 3 CEUs after watching video and passing exam. New to Guardianship or interested in refreshing your knowledge? This 3-hour workshop includes five key points every guardian must know. Developed and taught by Dr. Heather Connors, Executive Director, and Ronna Caras, Director of Training, this interactive program includes insights from virtual participants, as well.
You will learn:
1. Terms definitions related to guardianship including medical terms, legal terms, guardianship principles, and document types
2. Paths to becoming a guardian from the viewpoint of 6 different cases and situations
3. How guardians are expected to advocate for the adults they are appointed to serve
4. Basic medical ethics and medical decision-making strategies
5. Record-keeping and reporting requirements and recommendations
