Developed and taught by Dr. Heather Connors, Executive Director, and Ronna Caras, Director of Training, this interactive program includes insights from virtual participants, as well.
You will learn:
1. Terms definitions related to guardianship including medical terms, legal terms, guardianship principles, and document types
2. Paths to becoming a guardian from the viewpoint of 6 different cases and situations
3. How guardians are expected to advocate for the adults they are appointed to serve
4. Basic medical ethics and medical decision-making strategies
5. Record-keeping and reporting requirements and recommendations
