Fact-Finding for Guardians

Description
Guardianship Networking is a discussion-focused learning experience where participants explain their opinions and best practices. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, our guardianship networking program helps guardians ask important questions about personal or sensitive topics. There's no doubt that guardians need to uncover each client's current situations, past history, problems, values, beliefs and preferences. Sometimes, our clients are willing and able to share this information. Other times, we talk to family, friends or caregivers. Each of these sources can be reluctant or withholding when we probe deeply and begin to uncover facts the person would prefer to keep quiet about. This training explores key questions and techniques for drawing out details while preserving the dignity of all sources.

The course is offered free of charge. Registration is required. 1 CEU from Center for Guardianship Certification will be awarded.
