Please join us Friday, February 27, 2026 11AM-2 PM Eastern Time for an in-depth workshop on the NGA Standards involving "person-centered planning." Guardians are expected to use best practices for getting to know clients, assessing strengths and challenges, identifying urgent issues, and creating plans of action using well-selected resources. Many details must be diligently uncovered and effective actions must be selected that are tailored for each client. How proficient are you with the options, strategies and tools available? Can you help case study clients and meet our industry's highest standards? This information is likely to be included in your national certification exam.

This 3-hour training gives participants the chance to work through the applications of NGA Standards of Practice using case study activities in discussion with other guardians. It also includes exam-style questions that can help you prepare for guardianship certification. Participants need microphones to participate and a keyboard to type responses into polls and chat.

The course is offered free of charge. Registration is required. 3 CEU from Center for Guardianship Certification will be awarded.
