Description
Virtual Instructor-Led Training has breakout group activities, learners typing into chat and into online polls.

So popular, we are teaching this class twice to small groups. Please choose your preferred date. This date is option two of two dates for this course.

Please join us Friday, April 10, 2026 11AM-2 PM Eastern Time for an in-depth workshop on the NGA Standards involving "surrogate decision-making." Giving "informed consent" or "refusing consent" are at the heart of a guardian's daily work. What procedures do great guardians use? Are there tools for decision-making that can assist? How are guardians expected to explain or justify their decisions if requested by a court?

This 3-hour training gives participants the chance to work through the applications of NGA Standards of Practice using case study activities in discussion with other guardians. It also includes exam-style questions that can help you prepare for guardianship certification. Participants need microphones to participate and a keyboard to type responses into polls and chat.

The course is offered free of charge. Registration is required. 3 Ethics CEU credits from Center for Guardianship Certification will be awarded.
