Training Strategies For Guardianship Practices

Description
Guardianship Networking is a discussion-focused learning experience where participants explain their opinions and best practices. On Tuesday, October 27, 2026 2-3 PM Eastern Time, our guardianship networking program presents "Training Strategies for Guardianship Practices." In response to requests from Program Managers, this training provides steps for implementing NGA Standards of Practice within a guardianship agency by creating a curriculum of learning events for guardians. Participants will learn how to make sure key standards are taught and coached using courses from a variety of available resources (many of them free). Why might a guardianship practice set performance standards and provide training for staff? What does a New Hire Guardian Curriculum look like? Are there courses that can advance the skills of experienced guardians? Where can the courses be found and taken when little or no training budget exists? How should Managers follow up on learning experiences and coach staff to continually higher levels of quality and job satisfaction? These questions and more will be answered to help Program Managers support highly successful guardianship teams.

The course is offered free of charge. Registration is required. 1 CEU from Center for Guardianship Certification will be awarded.
